Academy
Welcome to Nature & Oceans Adventures Academy (“NOA Academy”), an educational initiative of Nature & Oceans Adventures, a nonprofit organization. By enrolling in any online course, webinar, workshop, or educational program offered through NOA Academy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Enrollment
Enrollment is confirmed once full payment or an approved payment plan has been successfully completed. Students are responsible for providing accurate contact information and ensuring they can receive emails from NOA Academy.
2. Course Delivery
Our online courses follow a structured learning schedule.
After enrollment, students will receive a welcome email from their course instructor with their course start date and instructions for accessing the course.
Beginning on the assigned start date, students will receive two pre-recorded lessons each week throughout the course unless otherwise stated on the course description page.
Some courses may also include live sessions, downloadable resources, assignments, discussion opportunities, or other educational materials.
Course schedules, instructors, and lesson release dates may be adjusted when necessary due to operational, educational, or unforeseen circumstances. Nature & Oceans Adventures will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled students of any significant changes.
3. Student Responsibilities
Students agree to:
-
Participate respectfully in all learning activities.
-
Complete coursework honestly.
-
Maintain the confidentiality of course materials.
-
Use course content only for their own personal educational purposes.
-
Not share login credentials, recordings, downloads, or educational materials with others.
NOA Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate access without refund if these conditions are violated.
4. Intellectual Property
All videos, presentations, lesson materials, worksheets, graphics, recordings, logos, photographs, text, and other educational content remain the intellectual property of Nature & Oceans Adventures unless otherwise indicated.
No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, sold, recorded, or shared without prior written permission.
5. Certificates
Certificates of Completion are issued only after all required coursework has been successfully completed. Completion of a course does not constitute academic credit, professional licensure, or certification unless explicitly stated.
6. Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for ensuring they have:
-
A reliable internet connection.
-
A compatible computer, tablet, or smartphone.
-
A current web browser.
-
Access to the email address used during registration.
NOA Academy is not responsible for interruptions caused by the student’s equipment, software, or internet service.
7. Code of Conduct
Nature & Oceans Adventures is committed to providing a respectful learning environment.
Harassment, discrimination, abusive language, disruptive behavior, or misconduct toward instructors, staff, volunteers, or other students may result in immediate removal from the course without refund.
8. Cancellation or Course Changes
Nature & Oceans Adventures reserves the right to postpone, modify, reschedule, or cancel a course if necessary due to instructor availability, operational requirements, insufficient enrollment, technical issues, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control.
If a course is cancelled before it begins, students will be offered either:
-
A full refund, or
-
Transfer to another available course.
9. Refund Policy
Because NOA Academy courses involve instructor preparation, scheduled course delivery, and access to digital educational materials, refunds are limited.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing.
A refund may be granted only if:
-
The request is received within 7 calendar days of payment and before the first lesson has been released to the student.
Refunds will not be provided after:
-
The first course lesson has been released or delivered.
-
The student has begun participating in the course.
-
Digital educational materials have been substantially provided.
-
A certificate has been issued.
-
The student withdraws due to personal scheduling conflicts, travel, work, school commitments, illness (except where required by law), or a change of mind.
Failure to participate, attend optional live sessions, complete assignments, or finish the course does not entitle the student to a refund.
Nature & Oceans Adventures may consider exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion.
10. Transfers
Enrollment may be transferred to a future offering of the same course only if requested before the first lesson is released and subject to instructor approval and availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nature & Oceans Adventures provides educational content for informational purposes only.
We make no guarantee regarding employment, academic admission, research opportunities, certifications, or career outcomes resulting from participation in our courses.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nature & Oceans Adventures shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in any online course.
12. Privacy
Student information will be collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and only for purposes related to course administration, communication, and organizational operations.
