Our Programs
Program, Program Leaders, and Service Definitions

The term "Program" means any expedition, project, course, trip or another activity anywhere throughout the word, arranged by NOA from time to time

The term "Program leaders" means the leader(s) on the allocated Program, to whom the Participant must abide by

The term "Service" means the services, as set out in clause 2 below, to be provided by NOA to the Participant.
The headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and should not affect their interpretation.
The Service Provided
NOA shall provide the Service described below to the Participant, subject to the terms of this Agreement:
Organising Programs
Organising and setting up a Program and/or other course(s) as agreed upon between NOA and the Participant in writing.
Pre-Departure Briefings
Arranging full pre-departure briefings through open days, NOA field representatives, by e-mail to NOA or on skype.
Accommodation and Transfers
Arranging suitable accommodation and food (where applicable) during the period of the Participant's involvement in the Program. NOA shall arrange for transfers to and from the airport in the chosen country.
Program Leadership
Arranging Program Leaders to lead and manage projects where required.
Equipment and Training
Arranging the provision of Program equipment, training and training materials relevant to the Program, where applicable.
Support Structure
Providing and maintaining a full international support structure and providing a 24 hour emergency phone line in the chosen country.
Booking Conditions
Making a Booking and Paying Your Deposit and Final Balance
A deposit of $800 per person is required upon booking, along with a signed Booking Form. An additional 10% payment is due 150 days before the program start date. Full payment is required if booking within 10 weeks of departure. The full balance must be paid at least 8 weeks before departure.
Price of Your Expedition and Surcharges
While prices can be amended, expeditions are offered at a clear and firm price. Surcharges may apply due to government action, currency or fuel cost changes unless full payment is made six months or more before departure.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be notified by email and will incur a $125 handling charge. Additional charges apply based on the cancellation period relative to the expedition start date.
Transfer of Booking
Transfers to the following year or another person require prior approval and an additional 10% payment.
NOA Cancellations
In case of safety concerns, alternative arrangements will be made. No refunds are provided, except under specified conditions. Programs will not be canceled within 3 months of the start date unless due to exceptional circumstances. In the event of international border closures due to a pandemic, NOA will reschedule the trip once travel is possible again.
The Participant's Obligations
Physical and Emotional Demands
By participating in a NOA Program, the Participant accepts various physical and emotional demands and acknowledges that the living standards in the relevant country may be below their own country's standards.
Travel Arrangements and Insurance
The Participant is responsible for their own travel arrangements, expenses, and insurance. They must secure travel and medical insurance to cover losses from travel cancellations, baggage loss or damage, non-refundable airfare, and emergency medical expenses.
Reimbursement of Advanced Monies
Participants must reimburse NOA for any advanced monies immediately upon the Program's conclusion.
Insurance Policy
It is mandatory for all Participants to have a valid travel insurance policy covering the entire trip duration, including manual, conservation, and volunteer work. Failure to provide proof of valid insurance may result in booking cancellation without refund.
Medical Information and Requirements
The Participant must provide accurate and truthful information about their medical history and state of health. They must inform NOA of any medication requirements, allergies, or conditions that might affect their participation in the Program.
Fitness to Participate
Participants must discuss the Program’s risks and demands with their personal physician to ensure they are fit to participate. NOA may require a doctor’s verification of the Participant’s fitness and reserves the right to reject a booking based on medical advice. NOA is not liable for consequences arising from the Participant's failure to follow medical advice or take prescribed medication.
Personal Responsibility
The Participant must take personal responsibility for their personal effects, ensure they have a valid passport, necessary visas, permits, vaccinations, and other relevant documentation. NOA is not responsible for a country’s decision to refuse entry or exit.
Compliance with Laws and Customs
Participants must comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and customs of the host country. Violations may result in being required to leave the Program without liability to NOA. Participants must respect local laws, culture, and behave responsibly and courteously. They must follow the reasonable instructions of Program Leaders and respect NOA’s aims and objectives.
NOA Cancellations
Warranties, Liabilities, and Assumption of Risk
Service Quality
NOA warrants that the Service will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
Information Provided
Information provided by NOA, such as about visas, vaccinations, and healthcare, is given in good faith but without responsibility.
Activities Outside Program Scope
NOA has no responsibility for activities outside the Program's scope and Participants must ensure any such activities are conducted by qualified persons or companies.
Risk Assumption
Participants understand that certain risks are inherent in the Program, including travel hazards, civil disturbances, terrorism, and interactions with dangerous wildlife. Participants assume all risks associated with the Program and agree to hold NOA and its agents harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from their participation. This waiver extends to the Participant's heirs, personal representatives, successors, and assigns.
