Educational Program at the Ecuadorian Amazon Wildlife Rescue Center

Located in the Ecuadorian Amazon, the YanaCocha Wildlife Rescue Center is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife affected by illegal trafficking. In partnership with the Tamandua Ecological Reserve, our educational program invites students to engage directly in conservation efforts through hands-on experiences with native species and their habitats.

Participants assist specialists in wildlife rehabilitation, habitat restoration, and community outreach while gaining insight into the region’s rich biodiversity and the threats it faces. Activities include feeding and enrichment for rescued animals, reforestation projects, and educational workshops with local communities.

The program also supports research on wildlife behavior and rehabilitation success, fostering global collaboration with conservation organizations and universities.

Our goal is to expand access to 500 students and conservation enthusiasts annually, enhance educational resources, and improve infrastructure to support a growing network of young conservation leaders.

Through this immersive experience, students develop a deeper understanding of Amazonian ecosystems and become active stewards in the fight against wildlife trafficking and biodiversity loss.
