Our Fundraising Initiatives
Mediterranean Marine Research & Exploration Program
The Mediterranean Marine Research & Exploration Program is an interdisciplinary educational experience that merges marine science, cultural immersion, and ecological discovery across coastal Spain. Blending oceanographic expeditions, cultural immersion, and academic partnerships, this program empowers youth and early-career conservationists to engage with real-world environmental challenges.
Students begin their journey with guided hikes in Mediterranean National Parks and snorkeling or scuba diving expeditions that reveal the biodiversity of the Mediterranean Sea. In Almería, participants collaborate with the University of Almeria’s marine conservation team, joining EU-funded projects such as Mar Med and Life Seabill, led by Dr. Marga López. These programs focus on the impact of plastic pollution on marine life and ecosystem restoration in the Cabo de Gata Marine Protected Area.
Participants gain research skills through marine biodiversity surveys, data analysis workshops, and conservation-focused fieldwork, while also engaging with local communities and environmental leaders.

Our goal is to expand access to 500 students and conservation enthusiasts annually, enhance educational resources, and improve scientific materials to support a growing network of young conservation leaders.
By supporting this initiative, donors help empower the next generation of marine scientists and environmental advocates, while contributing to the protection of one of Europe’s most threatened marine ecosystems.. Your investment provides critical funding for scholarships, field equipment, and academic partnerships that make this transformative experience possible.
